Aga about herself

When someone asks me about my profession I say I am a strategic experience designer. However, this is not particularly self-explanatory. So what does that mean? It means that I help organizations (small and large) develop and then prepare for the implementation of a strategy that is unique to them and that will allow them to differentiate themselves in the marketplace through an exclusive customer experience. In other words, I help them create a story about their brand, products, and services that they want their customers and clients to tell others. Sometimes, I also organise 'Radical Design' workshops for them, where we develop and prototype future scenarios based on a pre-designed strategy. I work with customer experience strategy, employee experience strategy, and also what is known in some circles as 'Total Experience', i.e. combining the customer and employee experience strategies into one coherent whole.

The second element of my work is designing and implementing programs for male and female leaders where they design their own leadership. This is a hugely important part of my professional activity because only self-conscious leaders can effectively design and implement a powerful experience strategy. I am also keen to offer a leadership program that I would have liked to have had when I was still a leader.

You could say that's enough, right? :) However, I wouldn't be myself if I didn't have a third activity, namely writing books. This is something I dreamt of as a teenager. But then, for various reasons, this dream went dormant until it was brought to light again in 2016 (there's a story behind it, of course:) I started my writing adventure with Seed Cards to support the experience design process. Then I spent almost two years writing "The Umami Strategy" and another year working on "Leadership by Design". This time I am testing my skills in a different area, and you can read about my progress in the section -- Aga after hours.

And so when someone asks me what I do, I usually don't quite know what to answer. Because I'm all that I've described above, and on top of that, I'll probably be someone a little bit different in a while. And that's the coolest bit of my professional life -- that, as Benjamin Franklin said -- "change is the only constant."
